Galaxy S26 Lineup Confirmed
Samsung has officially confirmed the lineup of its upcoming Galaxy S26 series through its Colombian website. The flagship series will continue with three models: Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
This confirmation puts an end to speculation about new additions such as “Pro” or “Edge” models. Samsung appears to be returning to its traditional lineup, which has proven successful in past launches.
No Pro or Edge Models
There had been rumors that Samsung might introduce a “Pro” model or revive the “Edge” branding. However, the official listing shows no such devices. The poor sales of the Galaxy S25 Edge seem to have influenced Samsung’s decision to streamline its lineup.
By focusing on the standard, Plus, and Ultra models, Samsung is sticking to a strategy that balances performance, features, and pricing across different user segments.

Galaxy Unpacked Event
The Galaxy Unpacked event is expected to take place on February 25, 2026, just before the Mobile World Congress (MWC). The venue is rumored to be San Francisco, marking a possible change from the San Jose location used in recent years.
The timing of the event is slightly later than usual, and analysts suggest factors such as last year’s U.S. government shutdown may have contributed to the delay.
Busy Season for Smartphones
Samsung’s announcement will kick off a busy season for the smartphone industry. Other major brands like Huawei, HONOR, and Xiaomi are also expected to unveil new devices around MWC. This period from late February to March is likely to see intense competition and innovation in the market.

According to tech blogger Sujit Ram, Samsung’s decision to stick with three models shows confidence in its established strategy. “The Galaxy S26 lineup proves that Samsung values consistency. By focusing on the standard, Plus, and Ultra, they can deliver improvements without confusing buyers with too many options,” he explains.
