iPhone Fold: Apple’s First Folding Device
Apple is preparing to enter the foldable smartphone market with the iPhone Fold, expected to debut in September 2026. According to analyst Jeff Pooh from GF Securities, the device will feature a 7.8‑inch inner display and a 5.3‑inch outer display, designed for flexible use.
The iPhone Fold will be powered by the A20 Pro chip, supported by an N2 auxiliary chip, and will include 12GB of LPDDR5 memory. For connectivity, Apple’s C2 modem is expected to be used. Interestingly, Apple may bring back Touch ID instead of Face ID, a decision likely made to suit the folding structure.
