Samsung just launched the Galaxy A56 mid-ranger but the company is already working on the next one, the Galaxy A57. According to reports from South Korea, Samsung has started testing a new processor called “Terra”, officially Exynos 1680, for this next model.
The current Galaxy A56 uses the Exynos 1580 chip which is known for its balanced performance and good power efficiency. Samsung’s mid-range Exynos processors have improved over the years and are a key part of the A series phones.
Although Samsung has not shared any details yet, internal tests for the new Exynos 1680 (model number S5E8865) are already ongoing and looking good.
One thing to watch out is the new processor’s graphics chip. It’s rumored to have the AMD-based Xclipse 550 GPU which could be better than previous models. But these are still unofficial and we need to wait for benchmark tests and official announcements to confirm.
