MediaTek’s Next Flagship Chipset: Dimensity 9500
MediaTek is about to make a big jump with its next mobile processor, the Dimensity 9500. According to recent leaks, this new chip will be a departure from the traditional design of previous Dimensity chips.
The Dimensity 9500 is rumored to be based on Arm’s next-gen architecture and will introduce a new performance core — the Cortex-X1025 (tentative name). This will be one of the first chips to use the successor to the already powerful Cortex-X925 which powers the current Dimensity 9400+.
What’s This “Super Core”?
The Dimensity 9500’s super core is based on Arm’s latest v9 architecture. This new Cortex-X1025 will bring significant CPU power improvements over the already impressive X925 which delivered up to 36% better performance over the Cortex-X4.
This means the Dimensity 9500 will be one of the top performers in the Android chipset market.
Big GPU Upgrade Coming
MediaTek isn’t stopping at CPU power — the GPU in the Dimensity 9500 will also get an upgrade. Reports say it will debut a new GPU, succeeding the Immortalis G925, for smoother gaming, faster AI computations and better graphics on premium Android devices.
