A Sneak Peek Before the Official Reveal
HONOR fans have fresh reasons to be excited.
A new mid‑range player, the HONOR X8d, has quietly appeared on a Kyrgyz retailer’s website, giving away nearly every key specification. Although the company hasn’t yet confirmed launch details, the sighting suggests the phone’s global debut is approaching soon — and it comes packed with upgrades over the existing X8 series.
New Snapdragon Heart
At its core beats the new Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 SoC, a just‑announced chip from Qualcomm.
Built on the Kryo CPU design and clocked up to 2.9 GHz, it promises smoother multitasking and improved GPU performance for daily gaming and streaming.
The chipset supports FHD+ 120 Hz displays and cameras up to 108 megapixels, placing the X8d neatly in the power‑efficient but capable category.
Paired with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, the phone should handle social media multitasking, casual gaming, and photography without breaking a sweat.
Camera and Display Details
The front hosts a 16 MP selfie camera inside a neat punch‑hole cut‑out.
On the back, HONOR uses a 108 MP main sensor accompanied by a modest 5 MP secondary lens—likely a depth or ultra‑wide shooter.
The 6.77‑inch AMOLED display offers FHD+ (2392 × 1080 pixels) resolution for crisp visuals when streaming or gaming.
While the refresh rate hasn’t been confirmed, the chipset’s hardware support for 120 Hz hints that we might see a smooth high‑refresh panel.

Mega Battery and Fast Charging
The standout specification is power backup: a huge 7000 mAh battery. Despite the capacity, HONOR claims a slim 7.5 mm body weighing 188 grams—impressive packaging for such endurance.
Charging runs at 45 W, which should refill most of the battery in under an hour.
With an IP65 rating, light rain or dusty rides won’t be a concern either.
Design, OS, and Availability
The X8d will likely launch in Black, Blue, and Silver finishes, running MagicOS 9.0 based on Android 16.
So far, only its listing in Kyrgyzstan has surfaced, but given how mid‑range HONOR models routinely reach Asia and Europe, an India or Indonesia release shouldn’t be ruled out.
As Sujit Ram notes, this combination of a fresh Snapdragon chip and a 7000 mAh battery could make the HONOR X8d one of the most balanced big‑battery phones in its segment.
