Exynos 2600 Leak: Samsung’s New Chip Beats Snapdragon in GPU Test!

Big news for Samsung fans! Leaked benchmarks suggest the upcoming Exynos 2600 chip – expected in the Galaxy S26 and S26+ – might finally deliver seriously powerful graphics performance, even outpacing Qualcomm’s best.

Here’s the exciting leak:

  1. GPU Powerhouse Potential: In a key graphics test (3DMark Steel Nomad Light), the Exynos 2600 scored an impressive 3,135 points, averaging 22.23 frames per second (FPS).

  2. Beating the Competition: For comparison, Qualcomm’s top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite chip managed 2,681 points and 19.87 FPS in the same testThat’s a roughly 15% lead for the Exynos 2600’s Xclipse 960 GPU!

  3. Important Note: This early testing was likely done on a development board, not a final phone. Performance in actual Galaxy S26 models might be slightly lower due to cooling and space limits. However, it strongly hints that the Exynos 2600’s GPU will be at least competitive with the Snapdragon 8 Elite when both are in phones.

CPU Details Leaked Too:

  • The Exynos 2600 also appeared on Geekbench, showing off its CPU muscle.

  • It scored 2,155 points (single-core) and a hefty 7,788 points (multi-core).

  • It uses a unique 10-core design (no small power-saving cores!), featuring:

    • 1x super-fast Cortex-X930 core (@ 3.55 GHz)

    • 3x high-performance Cortex-A730 cores (@ 2.96 GHz)

    • 6x efficient Cortex-A730 cores (@ 2.46 GHz)

  • Cutting-Edge Tech: Reports indicate Samsung is making this chip on its advanced 2nm (SF2) manufacturing process, promising better efficiency and power.

Coming to Galaxy S26 Series:

  • Expect the Exynos 2600 to power the standard Galaxy S26 and S26+ models.

  • The Galaxy S26 Ultra is still tipped to use Qualcomm’s next flagship, likely called the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, expected later this year.

These leaks are very promising! While real-world phone performance is the final test, the Exynos 2600’s leaked GPU benchmark beating the Snapdragon 8 Elite, combined with its advanced 10-core CPU and 2nm build, suggests Samsung is making major strides. If it delivers in phones, the Exynos 2600 could mean top-tier gaming and performance for the Galaxy S26 and S26+. Samsung fans have good reason to be excited!
