NTT DOCOMO has officially released a major software update for the Galaxy S25 SC-51F and Galaxy S25 Ultra SC-52F in Japan. The update brings the operating system to Android 16, while also introducing several important improvements in connectivity, display, and user experience.
HPUE Support for Stronger Connectivity
One of the most significant upgrades is the addition of HPUE (High Power User Equipment) technology. Traditionally, smartphones in Japan were limited to a maximum transmission power of 200mW. With HPUE, this limit has been doubled to 400mW, allowing signals to travel further and penetrate obstacles more effectively.
