Good News for AQUOS Sense9 Users!
On March 10, 2025, SoftBank announced the release of the long-awaited Android 15 update for the AQUOS Sense9. This update brings the latest Android OS and some improvements to security and user experience.

How to Update:
Updating your AQUOS Sense9 to Android 15 is easy and can be done via Wi-Fi to avoid data charges. Here’s how:
- From the Main Menu:
Go to [Settings] in the app list.
Go to [System] > [System Update].
Tap [Download and Install] then restart your device.
- From the Status Bar:
Click on the update notification in the status bar.
Go to [System Update].
Choose [Download and Install] then restart.
After that, your device will be running on Android 15.
Important Notes:
Functionality During Update: All phone functions including calls and data will be unavailable during the update. Do not update during critical times.
Update Time: The update takes around 30 minutes. Don’t use your phone during this time.
Battery Check: Make sure your device has enough battery to last through the update without shutting down.
Data Backup: To avoid data loss, backup important files before updating.
This is the first Android 15 release for AQUOS Sense9 and interestingly comes two months after AQUOS Sense8 got its update, which a big news in the tech world.
